WHAT
I am delighted to be contributing a Phing-Thing to WHATEVER, the Ben Oakley Gallery’s end of year group exhibition and charity auction in aid of St Christopher’s Hospice. I will also be exhibiting one of my True Love series concealed image paintings at the gallery.
The Ben Oakley Gallery in Greenwich, London is one fo my favourite local galleries, and I am genuinely delighted to have some work on the walls there – hanging next to some of my favourite artists: Carne Griffiths and Guy Denning no less.
There will be pieces by over 30 artists, and the opportunity to bid (via sealed bids/silent auction) on your own artist embellished/defaced Phing-Things. What is a Phing-Thing? They are small avian sculptures made from cast plaster or carved timber, made by people with disabilities in the Netherlands. As well as supporting them, this particular batch will be auctioned to raise money for @stchrishospice , so if you’re lucky enough to snag one, you’ll be making a good few tough lives better as well. In addition to these pint sized pieces, there’ll be a good selection of the artists’ more signature works on show.
